One of them is beginning to understand exactly what kind of thing she’s become part of — and quietly looking for the exit.
When Lilith and Jesus peel off for a midnight joyride, a routine stop at a roadside diner turns on a single ugly word. “Stray Bullets” is about how violence finds the people who go looking for it and the people who don't — and how one tired federal agent learns that the cleanest way to hunt a movement is to invent the war you need to justify the hunt. Their gonzo roadtrip gets decidedly darker.
