Domestic Tales Limited Editions Have Been Sent

Almost exactly a year since the Tales From When I Had A Face Kickstarter was launched, and 8 years since the project began, all the packages have been sent to domestic (US) backers. Over the next few days I’ll be organizing the last batch for International, as that’s got a bunch of additional paperwork attached.

I haven’t really done a proper “post-mortem” of the campaign, but the long and short of it is this: almost every other stage of the Kickstarter, while a ton of work, was actually pretty smooth in terms of hiccups. No collaborators vanishing at the 11th hour, we made our minimum amount in the first 24 hrs of the campaign, the various printers were reliable and delivered quality materials, every one of them. So props to Gorham Printing, and of course every collaborator on the project. Everyone played their positions terrifically.

Now for the bad: the packing / shipping part was significantly harder than I expected it to be (and I didn't expect it to be easy). I won’t belabor the details, but holy hell. How does anyone run a mail-based business anymore?

I guess it comes out in the wash.

So, my fingers are crossed that everything reaches everyone properly, and soon. And I am off to wrap up the stragglers, and take a couple weeks “off” to do digital paintings with no particular agenda, and probably play a lot of RPGs and video games. Cheers, everyone.
